We know that they learn best through hands-on, sensory-orientated activities. We give them plenty of space and time to explore and investigate, using materials to create and construct.

We understand every family is unique, so we make a point of asking:
What are your requirements? How can we support you? And then we do our very best to meet your needs. We can tailor-make our services to enable you to manage your own work, study or leisure commitments.

We guarantee complete peace of mind for busy parents and safe, happy hours of play for babies and children from 3 months of age up to 12 years of age. Our basic childcare package for babies and children under 5 years old is a half-day session of five hours, morning or afternoon.

Remember - there are no 'hidden extras' at smilechildcare. Your fee covers all meals, snacks, trips and outings.

Our History....

West Edinburgh, 1998, found a group of small-scale local community projects under threat of closure, due to diminishing grant funding. In order to survive and strengthen their positions, the groups amalgamated to form 'One Stop Childcare'. The new company embarked as a community childcare charity in 1998 supporting working families in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh through providing affordable childcare for all.

Since then our charity has gently unfolded its periphery and offering, now supporting a greatly increased number of families in West Edinburgh and beyond. In 2006 we re-branded as 'smilechildcare'.
